Warum Ringelshirts nachhaltiger sind als jeder Modetrend

Hast Du auch schon eins? Fast jede*r meiner Kund*Innen hat mindestens ein Ringelshirt im Schrank. Oft liegt es versteckt zwischen Sportkleidung und Schlafshirts. Viel zu schade, wenn Du mich fragst! Denn das dezent gestreifte Teil hat das Zeug zum Kultstatus! Warum eigentlich?! Ich bin für Dich „auf Streife“ gegangen, um herauszufinden, was an dem beliebten und oft unterschätzen Kleidungsstück dran ist, woher es ursprünglich stammt und warum Du Ringelshirts auf keinen Fall aussortieren solltest.  

NACHHALTIGE LIEBLINGS-STREIFEN

Seit Kindertagen sind Ringelshirts ein fester Bestandteil meiner Garderobe. Damals wusste ich natürlich nicht, dass es sich um einen Mode-Klassiker handelt. Ich fand es wohl einfach praktisch und cool. Erst später fiel mir auf, dass diese zeitlosen Kleidungsstücke nachhaltige Schätze sind: Ringelshirts gehören zu den Teilen, die sich am längsten in der Garderobe halten und deshalb besonders nachhaltig sind.

VERGESSENE STREIFEN 

Auch in den Schränken meiner Kundinnen finde ich immer wieder längst vergessene Ringelshirts. Im Rahmen des Style-Coachings reaktivieren sie und kombinieren sie zu tollen neuen Outfits. 

Das Ringelshirt hat eine lange Reise hinter sich, bis es als Basicteil in vielen unserer Schränken landete: 

FISCHERS STREIFEN

Vorfahre des heutigen Ringelshirts war ursprünglich ein gestreifter Pullover aus robuster Wolle, den bretonische Küstenfischer auf ihren Booten trugen. Angeblich, weil der „Mann über Bord“ im Wasser so besser erkannt und aus dem Wasser gerettet werden konnte. Die Anzahl der Streifen liess auf das Heimatdorf des jeweiligen Fischers schliessen. 

MARINE STREIFEN

Später entdeckte die Marine die praktischen Kleidungsstücke und über den Umweg der „Arbeitskleidung“ zog das Ringelshirt in die Mode ein. 

GLEICHSTELLUNGS-STREIFEN

Im Zuge der frühen Frauenbewegung machte Coco Chanel das gestreifte Shirt erstmals auch Frauen zugänglich und damit salonfähig. Zum Unisex Kleidungsstück für den Alltag wurde es durch Stilikonen wie Pablo Picasso und Brigitte Bardot, die das „Bretonshirt“ mit mediterraner Lässigkeit trugen. Mit der rasanten Verbreitung von T-Shirts und Streetwear in den 80er und 90er Jahren fand es Einzug in die Alltagsmode und in unsere Kleiderschränke. Heute ist das Ringelshirt (frz. „Marinière“) nicht nur Inbegriff des „French-Chic“, sondern auch ein besonders schönes Beispiel für die modische Gleichstellung aller Geschlechter.

STREIFEN GEHEIMNIS

Der Zauber des Ringelshirts liegt in der Kombination aus lässigem Casual-Style und den feinen Streifen, die unbewusst die Sehnsucht nach Sommerfrische und Meer in uns wecken. 

STYLING TIPP FÜRS STREIFENSHIRT

Mit Jeans oder schwarzer Hose, weissen Sneakers oder Loafers stylst Du Dein Basic Ringelshirt zum Fashion Statement. Dazu knallroter Lippenstift, fertig ist der maritime Look „à la Marinière“.

KAPSEL STREIFEN

Weil es nie aus der Mode kommt, ist das Ringelshirt ein perfektes Keypiece für Deine Capsule Wardrobe. Du kannst unabhängig von Trends und Jahreszeiten tragen und vielseitig kombinieren. Wenn Du eine Capsule Wardrobe zusammenstellen möchtest, behalte also unbedingt Deine Ringelshirts!

UNGÜNSTIGE STREIFEN?!

Dass Streifen oder Ringel für bestimmte Figuren unvorteilhaft sein sollen, halte ich für einen Mode-Missverständnis, das dringend gerade gerückt werden sollte. Wenn es Dir gefällt und Du Dich darin wohl fühlst, dann passt es Dir auch, egal welche Körperform Du hast!
